Results and Retesting Questions
How long does it take to get results?
Result turnaround times are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Timing depends on the test type, laboratory processing, specimen review, shipping, holidays, compliance review, and other factors outside of our control.
What happens if my result is inconclusive, invalid, rejected, or insufficient?
A recollection or retest may be required. This may happen because of specimen volume, specimen integrity concerns, donor-related factors, shipping issues, laboratory processing limitations, or other issues identified by the laboratory or testing partner.
Do I have to pay again for recollection or retesting?
Additional fees may apply for recollection, retesting, laboratory processing, mobile service, shipping, administrative processing, or third-party partner fees.
Does retesting guarantee a different result?
No. Recollection or retesting does not guarantee a different result.
Can CCDS change or correct my test result?
No. Results are issued by the laboratory, testing platform, medical review officer, or authorized testing partner. Result disputes must be directed to the appropriate testing party.
Payment, Refund, and Cancellation Questions
Are testing services refundable?
All testing and collection services are generally non-refundable once a specimen has been collected, a test has been started, a laboratory order has been processed, a testing kit has been shipped, chain-of-custody paperwork has been started or completed, or a third-party lab or testing partner has accepted the order.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

What happens if I miss my appointment?
Missed appointments or late cancellations may result in forfeited payment. A new appointment may require a new service fee.
Are mobile service fees refundable?
Mobile service fees may be non-refundable once travel has started, the appointment window has been reserved, or the collector has been dispatched.
